High Command Wargame Rules - US Army
As usual I've been changing both the content and the presentation of my Army Lists. I can imagine it's not the best for the few people who read this blog but is my hobby.
This were the last changes - at least by now!
First one in this new and final series is from the US Army. Next posts will have the presentation you can see below.

Chain of Command Wargame Rules - Italian Invasion of Egypt
I keep working on my Army Lists for "High Command" and I expect to start publishing them quite soon. Meanwhile, an 'exercise' with "Chain of Command".
My main purpose was to translate in the Orders of Battle the proportion between the two Armies during the Italian Invasion of Egypt, with the Italians with more manpower and the Commonwealth with more quality in the assets and organisation.
Once again, I don't know if it's possible or not to have a game with this OOB.
My appreciation to the following and pay them a visit:

It doesn't matter whatever I try, I always come back to Division Level Army Lists. But I must say the Army Lists from "I Ain't Been Shot Mum" are very helpful for the Division Level.
My first experience is with the French Army 1940

I Ain't Been Shot Mum Wargame Rules - Operation Bagration
I mentioned it before: to organise historical army lists I think "I Ain't Been Shot Mum" the best I know, because it doesn't have a points system.
But the problem is the large number of figures for each Company. If we want to keep the proportion between opposite armies, in the end we can have an almost impossible number of figures. And this is the case on those large battles on the Eastern Front.
So I decided to do what wargamers call "bathtube" and reduce, proportionally I hope, the tables of organisation proposed by IABSM (what explains all this time away from the blog).
To give you an example, you can see the Germany lists in "Gotterdamerung" (with my excuses to the Too Fat Lardies team for this very small violation of copyright):
And now you have my own version:
One example can be "Operation Bagration", June-July 1944, also known as "The Destruction of Army Group Centre".
The Orders of Battle are from 23 June and were picked from here:
In a very broad calculation we find (I'm comparing a German Division to a Soviet Corps):
Axis Infantry - 39 Divisions
Axis Cavalry - 2 Divisions
German Armoured - 4 Divisions
Soviet Infantry - 40 Corps
Soviet Cavalry - 4 Corps
Soviet Armoured - 7 Corps
For Infantry, I'll use a German Company and a Soviet Company reinforced with one Rifle Platoon.
To avoid full Cavalry Companies, I'll also use 1 German Cavalry Platoon and 2 Soviet cavalry Platoons reinforcing the Infantry Companies.
And for armoured (includes both Panzer and Panzergrenadiers Divisions, Mechanised and Tanks Corps) I'll use an Half-Panzer Company for the Germans and a full Armoured Company for the Soviets.
In conclusion, my Order of Battle for Operation Bagration would be something like this:
GERMAN
Grenadier Company
Headquarters – CO, 2 MMG, Panzerschreck, Tank Hunter Team
Platoon 1 – 6 men Rifle or Assault Rifle
Platoon 2 – 6 men Rifle or Assault Rifle
Platoon 3 – 6 men Rifle or Assault Rifle

Anti-Tank Platoon – 2 Marder (or Hetzer from November 1944)
Artillery Battery – 105mm leFH18 Field Gun

Cavalry Platoon - 6 men
Panzer Company

Platoon 1 – Tank
Platoon 2 – Tank
Platoon 3 – Tank
Platoon 4 – Heavy Tank

Anti-Tank Battery – 57mm AT Gun
Anti-Tank Battery – SU85
Artillery Battery – BM 13 Katyusha Rocket Launcher
Artillery Battery – SU 76 SP
Artillery Battery – SU 152
I must say that I don't have any idea if this is adequate to play a scenario. But I like it for the historical reconstitution. And may be can be useful for other rules, like "High Command", for instance (just imagine Divisions...).
Let me know what you think about it.
